The journey of a young entrepreneur is certainly not easy. Ruffled hair with un-ironed t-shirts and shorts makes them different from the traditional achiever’s league.
Going up the ladder and commanding respect from the community that is still in dilemma about new-age working methods is a difficult job. Although there is no defined pathway to achieve the entrepreneur or millionaire tag, there certainly are a few good habits you can follow.
Add these five things to your routine and show the world what it takes to reply to those raised eyebrows and smirks.
A goal that can’t be degraded
More often than not, people set up goals that are focused on materialistic things. A Lamborghini and a mansion in LA are certainly good when you visualize them. However, maybe 5 years down the line you would like to settle with a Mustang and a house in New York. This is where degrading your goals happens.
Rather, focus on improving the services and systems. Focus on being an example in the industry you are. The satisfaction that you get by delivering value can never be achieved with a mansion and a Lamborghini.
Start daily rituals
We have a tendency to follow set patterns and feel good about doing so. Don’t fight the pattern. Instead, start making a list of things to do and set a particular time to do it. Wake up, go for a run, read and do a lot more at the same time every day. Not only does it build an effective routine, it gives satisfaction like no other.
There will be times when pressing matters will ask you to deviate from your routine a little, but that’s of course a different matter.
Set the clock as you like
Following billionaires and exemplary businessmen is not wrong. However, doing something because they do might be a little off for you. Choose the time that makes you more productive. Wake up at 9 in the morning if you feel working at night is your thing. Work long hours during the day if you feel sleeping at night is what gives you an edge. It is always good to identify what works for you.
Honesty works wonders
Giving time to all the important people in your life is a good thing. However, you are not Superman, and cannot be present everywhere every time. Let people know that you are in your creative time and if they understand, they will stick to your progress.
Never let go of the enthusiasm
Falling is inevitable. You sure are going to experience falls that will break you to an extent where you start having thoughts about giving up. However, the only things to keep in mind is to remember why you started. Build up that momentum once again. Keep trying till you get it right. Doing things the wrong way is the one and only path to learn how to do them correctly. Never give up.
With these thing added to your routine, you can show the world what you are capable of. It is only a matter of time when you reach the pinnacle of success, and reply to those smirks that tried mocking you at one point of time.
